To give you some insight in my feature film experience, you can find a brand new short film showreel displaying projects I wrote and directed for the last ten years. The reel includes excerpts of my bachelor’s thesis “Moonlit Night” (2012), the award-winning mutism short film “Silently Dumb” (2007), and last but not least the teenage comedies “Tutoring squared” (2006) and “Love per mouse click” (2004). You find the reel in the film section as well as on Vimeo.
In their August/September issue, the magazine “Film&TV Kameramann” (“Film & TV DoP“), that adresses mostly film-making professionals, wrote a review for “Moonlit Night”. The team was very happy to receive the praise. They describe the film as follows:
„A journey to the past on two different levels that are intertwined: Natalie’s fictional story about her difficult childhood and the poetry of Joseph von Eichendorff that appears, personified, in the present to help her. A beautiful basic constellation that, within the short limits of ten minutes, alludes to everything you ought to know to follow the fable and is moreover appealing for a longer version.” – Karl Heil in “Film & TV Kameramann” 9/2012
For everyone who wants to see the film for the first or a second time, the next opportunity to do so is at the fith “Dießener Kurzfilm Festival” (“Dießen’s Short Film Festival”), in the same city where we shot the temple-scenes. More information about the festival schedule will be available in Oktober.
My bachelor’s thesis and those of my fellow design collegues has been on display over the weekend! In our university building called the “Red Cube” you could bestow everything from a swinging kitchen to a very personal travel guide or a shoe with exchangeable heels. Additionally to the screening of my film “Moonlit Night” there were screenshots and making-of-booklets on display. I had a great time talking to interesting guests and was very inspired by the artsy atmosphere! If you haven’t checked out the “Moonlit Night” project yet, don’t hesitate to look it up on www.mondnacht-der-film.de
Today I proudly present a corporate video for a german bakery called “Konditorei Krönner”, which is based in Weilheim. In their post-war bakery they produce jummy hand-made pastries. The film will be shown in their sales room behind the shop window. It shows you how they make chocolate truffles, cake decoration, apple turnovers and a pyramid cake. My job was camera work and editing, Felix Scheidl was the executive producer. You can find it in the updated FILM section. Have fun watching and getting hungry!!
